HEXAspec Team Awarded Latest NSF National I-Corps Grant
Congrats to the HEXAspec (Hexacoating Team 3062) Rice University research team for receiving the newest NSF I-Corps Team Grant! The team has developed a novel, innovative ultra-thin coating with improved anti-corrosion, anti-oxidation, anti-wear properties which insulates and is thermally conductive.
Team members include Dr. Jun Lou, Professor and Associate Chair of the Dept. of Materials Science and NanoEngineering at Rice University, Tianshu Zhai, PhD Candidate, Chen-Yang Lin, PhD Candidate, Jing Zhang, Rice Senior Research Scientist (former), and industry mentor, Jim Zimmerman, DAMODARAN RAGHU.
The purpose of the I-Corps program is to enable the team to determine the commercial potential of the technology innovation, examining potential customer and market segments.
